Quiet around here lately, I know – it’s a busy time of year for me, and what spare time I’ve had has largely been used to get out and shoot. So please be patient, more content will be coming. For the moment, here’s something I shot a few weeks ago to tide you over.
Sometimes everything aligns itself so perfectly that you just have to take the shot. I mean seriously, consider the odds of this ever happening….
The leaves are changing here at Filmosaur HQ, which means it’s time to break out the color film and try to avoid the maddening hordes that pour out of the city every weekend (Note to these people: “A day in the country” should not consist entirely of driving poorly and pointing a lot. And you don’t need to talk as loudly as you do on the platform when the 6 train is rumbling into the station. No, your overpriced artisanal sneakers and designer skinny jeans are not appropriate for hiking, and yes, there are things roaming around that will bite you – they live here; you don’t. Please try not to be so oblivious to your surroundings.) Achieving this necessitates some rather extreme efforts, but sometimes these pay off in other ways….
